Put my mask on so you cannot see through,
Makes me look normal,
that's what you want for you,
It hides me away so you cannot read,
My "emotional instabilities".
Put on a smile, so I come across fine,
I look so normal, my world seems divine,
If you could see me behind closed doors,
You wouldn't say that, not anymore.
When I put myself first I am weak, I'm the worst,
If I were myself, you would think I was cursed,
But here I am telling you, the face you see,
It's not real,
not like this,
it still isn't me.
So, I've put my mask on so you cannot see through,
You don't care about seeing the truth.
So what I do is play my part,
It hides me away so you cannot read,
My "emotional instabilities".
